Football: Fort Davis 54, Balmorhea 8

BALMORHEA Marcus Hartnett accounted for nearly 300 yards of total offense and helped Fort Davis beat Balmorhea 54-8 in a nondistrict six-man game.

Hartnett rushed for 195 yards and four touchdowns while also passing for 101 yards and one TD. He also had his fourth interception of the season defensively.

Fort Davis (2-0), which beat Midland Trinity in its season opener, also got nine tackles from James Salcido and seven from Gerry Aufdengarten in addition to four tackles and one fumble recovery by Robert Moore.

The Indians return to play next week by playing host to Sanderson.
