:28 -- Arlington wide receiver Miles Onyegbule races around the back of the end zone to catch a 9-yard touchdown pass
9:48 -- Arlington quarterback Matt Joeckel caps a 14-play drive with a 2-yard touchdown run over the right side.
THIRD QUARTER
3:39 -- The Bronchos answer right back, taking nearly five minutes off the clock with an 9-play drive, all on the ground. Bradley Marquez finds the end zone for the second time on an 8-yard run over the left side, carrying three tacklers into the end zone.
8:19 -- The Colts get right back into the game when running back Trey James goes over the right side from the 9 for the touchdown.
HALFTIME
Analysis -- The Bronchos have pretty much had their way offensively, stopping themselves twice inside the Arlington 20. OHS has really had to throw the ball, but quarterback Derrick Teegarden is doing just enough to keep the second- and third-level of defense for the Colts honest ... Arlington High quarterback Matt Joeckel's second-quarter touchdown pass gives him 27 on the season, setting a city single-season mark. He also did a nice job on the scoring drive on three consecutive option plays for 35 yards.
SECOND QUARTER
2:24 -- The Bronchos get a 49-yard kickoff return from Joseph Limon, but the drives stalls at the Colts 21 and Travis Austin kicks his second field goal of the night, this time from 38 yards out
5:40 -- Arlington High finds the end zone when quarterback Matt Joeckel hits wide receiver Brandon Lewis with a 7-yard touchdown pass.
9:24 --BRONCHOS TOUCHDOWN -- Bradley Marquez finds the end zone for the first time tonight, taking a handoff, faking right and then breaking through the left side for a 47-yard score. He now has 125 yards on 10 carries on the night and 1,689 this season, breaking the OHS single-season mark of 1,657 (set by Charles Hunter in 1983).
9:39 -- Derrick Teegarden hits Joseph Limon down the left side for an apparent touchdown from the 32, but it's called back on a penalty
10:17 -- The Bronchos force the Colts to turn the ball over on downs for the second time tonight.
FIRST QUARTER
2:50 -- The Bronchos hooked the wagon to Bradley Marquez and Derrick Teegarden. Marquez carried the ball five consecutive times for 68 yards and then Teegarden rushed twice for 12 yards, including a 10-yard touchdown around the left end.
5:12 -- The Bronchos force the Colts to turn the ball over on downs at the OHS 45
6:34 -- Travis Austin connects on a 33-yard field goal as the Bronchos drive from their own 20 to the Colts' 16 before the drive stalls
PREGAME
7:30 -- Arlington wins the toss and defers and the Bronchos will put their offense on the field first
7:22 -- The captains are making their way to the field for the coin toss from the locker rooms in the south end of the stadium. It looks like the Bronchos' faithful have traveled well tonight as nearly 3/4 of the home stands are full.
6:54 p.m. -- Both teams are on the field warming up with just over 37 minutes left until kickoff .... OHS (9-2) is making its first appearance in the area round since 1997 and it looks like they will be facing a depleted Arlington Colts team tonight. The Colts will be missing running backs Jamal Nero and Kurtis Green, along with wide receiver Dixon Kent and one of the starting linebackers.
The weather is much nicer (right now, at least) than for Permian's game Friday night against Burleson, when game time temperatures hovered around 20 degrees with the wind chill. There is very little breeze right now at Shotwell Stadium and the temperatures are in the low 40s.
