Football: McCamey 48, Wink 40

McCAMEY The McCamey Badgers withstood a 24-point second half from Wink to clinch a spot in the playoffs with a 48-40 win over the Wildcats.

Jose Esparza ran for 240 yards and four touchdowns on 10 carries to lead McCamey (2-8 overall, 2-2 District 8-1A), which advanced to face Seagraves at 2 p.m. Nov. 14 at Grande Communications Stadium in Midland in a Class 1A Division II bi-district game.

For Wink (5-5, 0-4), Shea Abbott had one rushing touchdown and one receiving score.
