Football: Seminole 53, Lamesa 6

LAMESA Michael Navarro has taken over the quarterback duties for Seminole.

And after crushing Lamesa 53-6 on Friday night behind four combined touchdowns by Navarro, the Indians won a coin flip over Greenwood and Andrews to make the playoffs.

Tevyn Reed scored two rushing touchdowns (from 4 and 5 yards) and added a 27-yard touchdown reception from Navarro to the victory.

Chago Gomez added 75 yards and a rushing touchdown for the Indians.

Seminole (7-3, 3-2) finished in a three-way tie for second place with Greenwood and Andrews.

The Indians won the first coin flip to take on Clint in the Class 3A Division II bi-district playoffs at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Rotary Field in Pecos.
