Football: Buena Vista 56, Veribest 0
Comments 0 | Recommend 0IMPERIAL Joey Acosta rushed for 276 yards and six touchdowns Friday night as the Buena Vista Longhorns opened the season with a 56-0 victory against Veribest.
The six-man game was called at halftime because of the 45-point rule.
Buena Vista was dominant defensively, with Zack Bugg intercepting two passes while also recovering a fumble and forcing a fumble.
Luke Jones and Cory Gibson had seven tackles each while Colton Reid had six. Christopher Stephens had an interception and Gibson recovered a fumble.
The Longhorns play host to the Fort Davis JV at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Longhorn Field.
