Football: Alpine 43, Reagan County 12

ALPINE Dominic Scott continued his dominant statistical season Friday, throwing for six first half touchdown passes in Alpine’s 43-12 rout of Reagan County at Jackson Field.

Alpine (8-0, 3-0 District 4-2A) scored all its points in the first half, including 28 in the second quarter. Scott led the Bucks by completing 17-of-26 passes for 276 yards and adding 37 yards on two runs.

Carlos Mendoza was Scott’s primary target on the evening, catching nine passes for 132 yards, including touchdown catches of 20 and 53 yards.

Anthony Marquez ran for 201 yards on 31 carries to lead Reagan County (1-7, 0-3). His touchdown runs of six and one yards accounted for all the Owls’ scoring.
