Football: Alpine 52, Clint 28

ALPINE Dominic Scott continued his efficient passing display Friday, completing 31 of 44 passes for 478 yards in Alpine’s 52-28 nondistrict victory over Clint at Jackson Field.
Clint got off to an early lead and used its ground game to trade shots with the Bucks in the first quarter.
After the lead changed four times in the opening frame, Alpine went ahead for good 16 seconds into the second quarter on a 25-yard pass from Scott to Taylor O’Bryant.
Carlos Mendoza had Alpine’s top receiving night, catching 11 passes for 142 yards and one touch-down.
Alpine finished with 11 rushes for 65 yards, including a late second quarter run by Alfredo Amen-dariz.  He also caught two touchdown passes.
