>> Notes: Greenwood defensive stars Bevan Moody and John Brown missed practices earlier this week with minor injuries, though head coach Steve Taylor they will play today. ... Tackle Ty Coker broke his hand during the first offensive series in the Rangers' win over Pecos last week, but he will see action today, Taylor said. ... A week after defeating district foe Monahans, the Rangers narrowly defeated Pecos 35-32 in a bi-district playoff game. "We might have had a little let-down, but not a big one," Taylor said. "Pecos was playing well at the right time." ... Both Taylor and Sweetwater head coach Kent Jackson agreed: Their teams, which run the wishbone, are very similar. They have run-heavy offenses that like to control the clock. "I'm sure getting the scout team together this week was a lot easier," Jackson said. "It's a lot easier to get our guys to line up in a wishbone."
