LAMESA Brett Holly came up with the best round of the day, a 75, to help Andrews overtake Seminole for the lead after the second round of the District 3-3A Championships on Monday at Lamesa Country Club.
Trailing Seminole by a stroke at the beginning of the day, Andrews grabbed a 13-stroke lead with a 326 on Monday that pushed the Mustangs to a two-round total of 658.
Seminole's Chance Nichols shot a 77 on Monday and trails Holly by a stroke, 154 to 155, for individual medalist honors.
Monahans tied Seminole with a 340 at Lamesa Country Club and currently sits in third place at 677, six strokes behind the Indians.
The District 3-3A Championships will conclude with a third and final round on Monday, April 13 at Gaines County Golf Course in Seminole.
