GYMNASTICS: Permian begins district competition against San Angelo Central
The Permian High School gymnastics team will begin the District 3-5A portion of its schedule by playing host to rival San Angelo Central in a compulsory meet at 1 p.m. today in the Permian gymnastics gym.
The Panthers boys and girls squads placed second and third, respectively, while competing in an optional tri-meet with Rockwall High and Hurst L.D. Bell last week in Rockwall.
Rockwall, the host team, edged the Panthers boys squad 150.1-149.1, while the Lady Panthers placed third with a score of 99.05. Rockwall finished in first place with a score of 114.5.
Senior Trey Enriquez won the boys all-around title at last week’s tri-meet with a score of 50.45.
