GIRLS BASKETBALL: Permian hits sour note in playoff tuneup
BIG SPRING The Permian girls basketball team fell 60-50 to Big Spring in a practice game Friday designed to prepare both teams for the playoffs.
The Lady Panthers, who dropped to 20-9 overall, have lost two of their last three games. They play Arlington Bowie at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Jim Ned High School in Tuscola in a Class 5A bi-district playoff game.
April Williams led Permian with 18 points against the Lady Steers while Cheyenne Swoopes and Jamia Graham added 14 and nine points, respectively.
Permian, which beat Big Spring 42-37 on Dec. 3, trailed 46-27 after three quarters.
