Midland Lee 21, OHS 14 (Fourth quarter)

----------FOURTH QUARTER -----

7:27 -- OHS, after just missing a 50-yard touchdown connection, is forced to punt, with the ball going out of bounds at the Rebels 3.

9:08 -- MIDLAND LEE TOUCHDOWN -- quarterback Jace Edwards goes over from the 8 and the two-point conversiion is good, giving the Rebels a 21-14 lead.

----------THIRD QUARTER-------

1:37 -- OHS recovers another fumble, this time at its own 22 when Midland Lee quarterback Jace Edwards makes a bad pitch on the option

254 -- OHS is forced to punt and the Rebels take over at the OHS 47.

4:28 -- OHS recovers Midland Lee fumble at Bronchos 13 when Lee running back Austin Jumper is stripped of the ball in the middle of the field ...

8:00 -- OHS TOUCHDOWN -- Quarterback Derrick Teegarden finds wide receiver Tyler McQueen with a 10-yard out in the left corner of the end zone for a touchdown. The extra point is good for a 14-13 Bronchos' lead.

 

-----------SECOND QUARTER ----

3:06 -- OHS forced to punt, the first of the game for either team and the Rebels take over a their own 18.

10:39 -- MIDLAND LEE TOUCHDOWN -- Quarterback Jace Edwards finds wide receiver Gilbert Gutierrez down the right side and outruns the OHS defender to the end zone for a 69-yard touchdown to put the Rebels up, 13-7, with the extra point is wide left.

 

---------- FIRST QUARTER ------

:00 -- OHS TOUCHDOWN -- Running back Ivan Subia goes over the right side for a touchdown from the 2 on the final play of the first quarter, with the extra point tying the game, 7-7, after 12 minutes.

 

5:17 -- MIDLAND LEE TOUCHDOWN -- Quarterback Jace Edwards, on fourth-and-3 from the OHS 15, goes over the right side, runs over a would-be tackler and gets to the end zone for the touchdown ..

 

8:00 -- Midland Lee facing fourth-and-4 at the OHS 44 on opening drive .... has to call time out when play clock gets to 1 ... gets the first down when quarterback Jace Edwards sweeps around the right side for 9 yards

 

-----------Pregame------------

7:30 -- Midland Lee has won the toss and elected to receive ... both teams running on to the field and only  moments away from kickoff.

 

7:20 -- Both bands have cleared the field and both teams are starting to walk down from the locker rooms at Grande Communications Stadium ... Right now, it seems as if more OHS fans have made their way into he stadium, with the Rebels' crowd less than impressive ... Of course, many could be in Odessa watching Midland High vs. Permian.

 

6:35 -- Both teams are on the field, stretching and beginning to run through their offenses .... Odessa High is looking to complete an undeated run through District 2-5A, while the Rebels, with a victory, could miss the playoffs, depending on what happens with Midland High-Permian at Ratliff Stadium .... The Bronchos will face El Paso Franklin at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13, at the Sun Bowl in a Class 5A bi-district playoff game.
