GIRLS BASKETBALL: Lady Panthers, Lady Steers practice for the playoffs

The Permian girls basketball team will tune up for its Class 5A bi-district playoff game by playing a practice game at 6 p.m. today at Big Spring High School against the Lady Steers.
The Lady Panthers (20-8) finished with the second seed in District 3-5A after losing a flip with Midland High and will play Arlington Bowie (27-6) at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Jim Ned High School in Tuscola. Big Spring (21-9) finished third in District 5-3A and faces Burkburnett in its bi-district playoff game.
Permian defeated Big Spring 42-37 on Dec. 3 in the Kristen Corbin Classic third-place game in Andrews.
