Dub Farris (1974-1975)

Farris graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1962 and attended the University of Arkansas on a track scholarship and Eastern New Mexico on a football scholarship. After working as an assistant coach in Clovis, N.M., and Olton, Farris took an assistant's job at OHS and then became the head coach in 1974. After leaving in 1975, he moved to San Antonio Marshal and then Dickinson High as the head coach. In 1999, Farris was the athletic director at Round Rock ISD before moving to San Antonio as the associated athletic director of Northside Independent School District. In 1990, Farris was named NISD's athletic director, a post he held until his retirement in 2003. The school district then named its new athletic complex after him in 2003.
