SAN ANGELO Every Andrews High School player shot in the 80s — including its medalist — as it took a commanding lead Friday in the Blue Division of the San Angelo Girls Golf Classic.
The defending Class 3A state champion Lady Mustangs shot a 329 team score at San Angelo Country Club for a healthy lead over Snyder (375) and Monahans (389) heading into today’s final round at Bentwood Country Club.
Sarah Black, the defending Class 3A state medalist, leads the individual standings with an 80 while Hailey Burgen shot 81. McKenzie Long and Kalli Jennings both fired 84 to round out the team scoring, though Andrews medalist Payten Payne is fourth in the individual standings after shooting 82.
